When I got to work today, I was met in the parking lot by a normally reliable colleague who was dragging. "I love the Olympics, but it's tiring!"
Glad it's not just me.
I've been focusing on conditions that support weight loss, and I believe getting a good night's sleep is one of those conditions. But NBC airs the Olympics from 8:00 to midnight weeknights, and puts some of the best footage on last. The Olympics happen for only two weeks every two years, so it seems worth it, but there's no way I can stay up until midnight, sleep seven hours, and get to work on time. Something's got to give.
Many people's gripe with NBC is for showing the Olympics on tape delay. I'm OK with that, as I'd miss virtually everything while I'm at work in the U.S. Pacific Time Zone. But how about 7:00 to 11:00?

I long for the day we can just select the events we want to watch and boom, they there are in front of us. Don't make me record it all and scroll through the hours of recording to find the badminton semi-final I want to watch, just let me click a couple of icons and boom, I'm there.

Our tape delays were from 7 to 11pm, but even 11 can be too late for me. I watched many events when it worked for me on my iPad with one of the Olypmic apps (need a cable or Direct TV type account though). That was slick. Now they are over, so sleep for all the weary!
Ours were from 11 - 7 also. I opt for Patrick's solution though--wouldn't that be great! Especially when they're held in a country so far ahead in the time zone game.
Thought of you when were were in your neck of the woods. We were only there for a few days (got home one week ago) but Seattle was at it's most beautiful.
